Trucall
Self-hosted phone system

Your office phone system, on your own servers.

Trucall is a business phone system with a web console. You create extensions, set up call groups and menus, and look up what happened on a call. It runs on hardware or a cloud account you own.

Deploys with one command onto your own servers, and works with the standard SIP desk phones already on your desks.

What you do in the console

Six things make up nearly every visit to Trucall.

Phones on desks

An extension is one phone at one desk — 1001, the desk by the window. You create it, hand over the details, and the handset signs in.

One number, several phones

A call group rings a set of desks from a single number. You choose the ring strategy, how long it rings before it gives up, and where the call goes when nobody answers.

Press 1 for sales

An IVR menu is a greeting plus an action for each digit the caller presses. Record or upload the greeting as a prompt, then say where each key sends the caller.

Recorded calls to a list

A broadcast dials a list of numbers and plays a recording. Afterwards you see what happened to each recipient, one by one.

What happened on that call

Call records are one row per call, with the outcome written in plain words. Where a call was recorded, the recording plays in the row.

Who can change what

Four roles: viewer, operator, admin and superadmin. The console hides what a role cannot do rather than showing it greyed out.

Why it runs on your own servers

Three things stop being your problem once the system is yours.

A bill that grows every time somebody joins

Hiring is not a purchase

You add an extension when a new starter arrives. Adding it is a task in the console, not a conversation with a supplier.

Your call recordings living on someone else's disk

Recordings stay with you

Call records and recordings are written to your storage, in your jurisdiction. You set the retention rules, and you can read them without asking anyone.

A support ticket to change a greeting

Small changes, same afternoon

Changing a menu option or a ring timeout is a change you make. There is no queue in front of it and no release schedule to wait for.

Nobody browses a phone system

People open Trucall because something specific has come up.

My phone's dead. It was fine yesterday.

Open the registration list and see whether that handset has ever signed in.

Priya starts Monday — she'll need a phone.

Create an extension, apply the class of service the rest of her team uses, and it is done before she arrives.

Nobody in accounts picked up all morning.

Check the call group: what the ring timeout is, and where calls go when no one answers.

A customer says we sent them somewhere odd when they pressed 2.

Open the IVR menu and read what 2 currently does.

Can you find the call from that supplier last Thursday?

Filter the call records to Thursday, find the row, and play the recording in it.

Mistakes here are audible

A wrong setting is not a bad screen — it is a customer hearing silence.

Destructive actions carry weight

Deleting a group or firing a broadcast changes what strangers hear on the phone, and there is no undo. Those actions are built to make you stop and read before you confirm.

Plain words, not telecoms words

The console is used by IT administrators and office managers, not telecoms engineers. Where a plain English word exists, it is the one on the screen.

Rebuilt, never hand-patched

Configuration is generated from what the console holds, not edited by hand on the server. A setting cannot quietly drift away from what you saw in the console.

How you get from here to running

Three steps, and the last one is permanent.

First

We deploy it

Trucall goes onto your servers or your cloud account with a single command. There is no per-host setup to work through.

Then

Desks move across

Your existing SIP handsets point at the new system and sign in. You create the extensions, groups and menus that match how the office already works.

After that

Your team runs it

Your own administrators run it day to day. Nothing routine requires us.

Put the phone system where your other systems are.

Trucall installs on infrastructure you already own, works with the handsets you already have, and keeps the recordings on your side of the fence.

We use these details to arrange the demo, and for nothing else.
